Woof!

After a few cold and rainy days Spring is back in full glory. So I went outside today.
I spend my free Monday partially strolling along the Spaarne river. I'm planning to do a series on some of the most beautiful and interesting spots alongside this Haarlem river. It's up for this Summer.
My favorite part is the south side of the river. It's close to where I grew up. Unfortunately a lot of the open space and old farms I remember from my childhood are gone. It was given up for the building of a dozen posh houses for posh people with a lot of money and no taste.
It was at one of these villa's where I found these two. I have to give it to them: they are committed to their jobs. Woof!!

This was the view my bedroom window offered me last Tuesday evening round 6.30 hrs. My picture of it was published big in today's copy of the paper I work for. Nice :-)

Shoot the moon

Although I really don't have the right lens to shoot pictures of the moon, how can anyone resist when a lunar eclipse is going on? Here is the result.

The moon moved in Earth's shadow at about 22.30 hours CET and was completely covered from 23.44 till about 01.00 hours CET. The next lunar eclipse to be seen in Holland will be February 21, 2008.
